Professor of Orchestra Department of Tianjin Conservatory of Music/Director of Band and Chamber Music Teaching and Research Section

Professor at the Orchestral Department of Tianjin Music Conservatory, Director of the Orchestra and Chamber Music Teaching and Research Office, clarinetist, master’s degree advisor, Standing Council Member of the Clarinet Society of the Chinese Musicians’ Association, principal clarinetist of the Tianjin Music Conservatory Youth Symphony Orchestra, signed artist with Buffet Crampon in France, and signed artist with D’Addario in the United States.
Since graduating and joining the faculty in 1991, they have taught clarinet at both the university and its affiliated high school, as well as woodwind chamber music, while serving as principal clarinetist of the Tianjin Music Conservatory Youth Symphony Orchestra and performing clarinet chamber music. They have given numerous solo and chamber music recitals. Since 1998, they have participated in all international clarinet festivals held in China, performing at many of these events. In August 2010, at the invitation of the Japan Clarinet Society, they attended the “Asian Clarinet Festival” in Tokyo, Japan, where they collaborated with a Japanese pianist for a solo recital. In November 2015, as a signed artist with Buffet Crampon, they were invited to Paris to perform at the company’s 190th anniversary celebration concert. As principal clarinetist of the Tianjin Music Conservatory Youth Symphony Orchestra, they participated in masterclasses held by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Tianjin Music Conservatory from 2006 to 2009, as well as various significant performances both on and off campus. They have frequently been invited by the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra to perform as guest principal clarinet in its concert seasons. They have collaborated with numerous renowned domestic and international conductors, performing in a wide range of symphonies, concertos, and operas, including the premiere of composer Huang Anlun’s original opera Yue Fei and the Asian premiere of British composer Benjamin Britten’s opera The Rape of Lucretia.
