Part-time lecturer at Kunitachi College of Music, Toho Gakuen College, and Tokyo College of Music, as well as a Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra musician.

Daisuke Katsuyama graduated from Setagaya Gakuen High School and then from Tokyo College of Music. He won 1st place in the 84th Japan Music Competition, as well as other top prizes in competitions such as the Japan Wind and Percussion Competition, Japan Woodwind Competition, and the Japan Clarinet Competition. So far, he has studied clarinet with Shuji Hyuga, Koichi Hamanaka, Yoshinobu Kamei, and Akihisa Kato. After working with the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra, he is now a clarinetist with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Kioi Hall Chamber Orchestra Tokyo. He also teaches part-time at both Kunitachi College of Music and Toho Gakuen College.
