Clarinetist and saxophonist from Argentina, he attended the National Conservatory of Music (Argentina), and at the Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA).
He is the principal clarinet of the Orquesta Estable del Teatro Colón, also working as a "free-lance" musician and session player. He regularly participates in presentations and recordings of both classical and popular music: jazz, rock, tango, folklore from various countries, film music, advertisements, musical comedies, symphonic and chamber music.
He has performed with many orchestras and wind bands: Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires, Banda Sinfónica de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Orquesta del Teatro Argentino de La Plata, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de San Juan, Berklee Wind Ensemble, Orquesta Filarmónica de Chile, Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Argentina, etc.
As an orchestral musician, he performed with prominent artists: Plácido Domingo, Eddie Daniels, Shlomo Mintz, Lalo Schiffrin, Agnes Baltsa, Jon Faddis, Michel Legrand, Lazar Berman, José Cura and The Platters, among others.
He joined orchestras or groups that accompanied renowned popular singers: Ute Lemper, Sarah Brightman, Ismael Serrano, Ricky Martin, etc.
He was first alto sax player and clarinetist in the Boris Big Band (2011 - 2016), an ensemble dedicated to performing jazz classics and moderns, and premiering new works.
Daniel was a member of the orchestras of two international cruises, touring numerous countries in America and Europe.
He participated, as a flutist, clarinetist and saxophonist, in the musicals "Jazz, Swing, Tap", "The Producers", "Sweet Charity", "Hairspray", "Chicago", "Beauty and the Beast", "Les Miserables", "Young Frankenstein" and "Dracula", among others.He carried out intense teaching activity in the Children and Youth Orchestras Program of Buenos Aires City (2008 to 2018), and in the Bicentennial Orchestras dependent on the Ministry of Education of the Nation (2009 to 2015), training teachers and children from all over the country. He has offered numerous clarinet, sax and improvisation master classes, both in person and virtually.Daniel Kovacich is a Buffet Crampon and Vandoren artist.
