Emmanuel Neveu

Principal player of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, part-time lecturer at Kunitachi College of Music and Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, and lecturer at Akiyoshidai Music Academy.
Emmanuel Neveu was born in Rouen, France. He has been playing clarinet since the age of 10. He has graduated from the Conservatory De Rouen and Regional Conservatorium Of Music with top honors. After graduating, he attended the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris and graduated in 1999. He received the highest prize at the Paris International Competition and the Concours International Leopold Bellan. In 1999 he won first place in the Japan National Clarinet Competition. He joined the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra in 2003, and continues as their principal player. In 2005 he gave a recital in the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. He gave another recital at Sapporo Concert Hall in 2007. In 2009, held a master class in Chengdu, China. And in 2010, he gave another recital at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. In 2012, he performed Weber's Clarinet Concerto No. 1 with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. He is also a contracted lecturer with Buffet Crampon Japan Co., Ltd. He has studied clarinet with M. Elma Caster, P. Rubidova, M. Arignon, A. Damien, and F. Eau. He also studied bass clarinet under J. N. Klock, and chamber music under M. Bourgue. He is a part-time lecturer at Kunitachi College of Music and Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, and lecturer at Akiyoshidai Music Academy.
