The Quatuor Anches Hantées

Becoming the Quatuor Anches Hantées was a veritable quest; starting from nothing in 2001, with no repertoire, no sponsor, no model of the genre as a reference, but with that spirit of brassband, of camaraderie, worthy of a sports team preparing for a shared adventure, the QAH climbed the steps one by one to become the unique quartet it is today.
From the village halls and churches of its beginnings to the Salle Cortot, Salle Gaveau, Opéra de Montpellier, Tours, Arsenal de Metz, Maison de la Radio, and TV experiences on Arte and France 2, the QAH has accomplished a phenomenal job; a career that began 23 years ago, but a new start, on a different scale from 2019, by rubbing shoulders with Pierre Colombet of the Quatuor Ebène, working alongside him and receiving recognition from a new fringe of the classical music community.
Now in its third decade, the Quatuor Anches Hantées has found its place as a bridge between tradition and modernity.
